Fortuna Library Kicks Off Summer Reading Program

Fortuna, Ca. (KIEM) — today, the Fortuna library kicked off their ‘It’s Showtime at your Library’ summer reading club. They held a party to get children and their families to come out and enjoy some fun-filled activities.

The event was full of books, food, and entertainment. The duo ‘circus nature’ was there to read to the kids and perform some fun acts. Kids were even able to get up and participate in some of the skits. According to the library branch manager, Catrina Coyle, the program is all about encouraging people to keep up with their reading over the summer.

The Fortuna library will be holding events throughout the summer along with other libraries in the county. They have a Lego club and family board game nights you can check out every Wednesday.
