Eureka City Council Moves Forward With Marketing Firm Eddy Alexander

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — tonight, the Eureka City Council authorized the city manager to go ahead and work out an agreement with the marketing firm Eddy Alexander. This decision comes after irregularities within Humboldt Made’s proposal were spotted.

They chose to not waive the inconsistencies in Humboldt Made’s proposal in fear it would give them a competitive advantage. In the past, the city worked with the local visitor’s bureau but felt it was time for a change. As part of the agreement, the firm will be required to hire a local employee to be on the ground here in eureka. City officials think Eddy Alexander will be a good fit.

Moving forward, the city manager is now working to negotiate a formal agreement with the marketing firm that all parties can agree on.
