Eureka City Officials Awards 17 Individuals who Graduated from Pathway to Payday Program

EUREKA (KIEM) – It was a celebration for a group of individuals, striving to make a better life for themselves.     

The Pathway to Payday Program celebrated its graduating class. Seventeen people out of twenty-one made it through the four day workshop series.

One even started his first day on the job today.

Eureka Mayor Susan Seaman and City Councilmember Kim Bergel were at the ceremony.

They awarded and congratulated all the individuals who made it through the training.

Betty Chinn says, she’s proud of everyone who worked hard to get there. The next Pathway to Payday workshop start in August. Chinn says, she plans to invite employers from outside of Humboldt County.
