Six Rivers National Forest Makes Headway in Aquatic Restoration Project

EUREKA (KIEM) – It’s been a project seven years in the process.

The Six Rivers National Forest has made new steps towards their Aquatic Restoration Project.

The project started in 2012. The Six Rivers National Forest partnered with various agencies such as, the Western Klamath Restoration Project, Mid Klamath Watershed Center, and the Smith River Alliance just to new a few.

Back in 2018, the Six Rivers Aquatic Restoration Project was completed. Its plan was to implement an instream and habitat restoration, which will help reconnect and enhance spawning and rearing habitats.

Six Rivers National Forest says, they plan to break ground on the project later this year.
