Driver sustains major injuries in Hydesville crash

HYDESVILLE, Ca (KIEM)-One person sustains major injuries in a solo crash Friday afternoon in Hydesville. It happened just after 1 pm on State Route 36.

The driver of a Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound near Payton Street when for unknown reasons, the car went off the roadway and struck a power pole and fence.

The driver sustained a broken arm and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.

Residents were without electricity as a result of the crash. Traffic was detoured while PG and E crews repaired the damaged pole.
