5.6 Earthquake shakes up areas of Humboldt County

Humboldt County, Ca., (KIEM) A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck about 37 miles south of Eureka, at a little before 9 PM at a depth of 5.9 miles.

According to the United States Geological Survey three miles off the coast of Petrolia.

Some resident say they felt the shake in areas of Cutten, Fortuna, and Rio Dell.

However the National Weather Service said there is not a tsunami impacting the North Coast and there hasn’t been any reports of damage or injuries.
