Two Logging Protesters have been arrested

Two logging protesters have been arrested for trespassing.

Yesterday morning, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Humboldt Redwood Company on Monument Road to a report of one subject being detained by the company’s private security personnel.

Officers learned 26-year-old, Courtney Dressler of Arcata was found trespassing on company property. She was charged for trespassing with the intention of obstructing lawful business.

And early this morning deputies were dispatched again for reports of 15 protesters blocking the company’s access gate. Additionally, reports of a male subject locked to the excavator.

Officers located 33 year-old, Stanton Wood of Eureka. He has been charged with unlawful assembly and refusing to leave private property.
