Eureka Man Arrested On Drug Charges In Blue Lake

Blue Lake, Ca. (KIEM) — A Eureka man was arrested on drug charges after a Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputy observed a suspicious vehicle in the 3300 block of Blue Lake Boulevard.

The deputy located two people, both on felony probation with a search clause.

During the search, drug paraphernalia and small amounts of narcotics were found inside the vehicle. About 4.2 ounces of heroin were located outside of the passenger door believed to have been tossed out during the deputy’s investigation.

45-year-old Barri Oliver was arrested and booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sales and violation of probation.

The driver of the car was released at the scene. The case is still under investigation.
