Six Rivers National Forest Advises Visitors to Stay Safe When Visiting the Area

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – Fourth of July is next week and Six Rivers National Forest is advising visitors to be cautious when visiting the forest.

It’s still peak fire season, and lighting and igniting fireworks on national forest lands is prohibited.

But camp fire permits are still available for unapproved areas.

Forest Service says, there’s a lot of beautiful things to see and enjoy at the national forest and advise visitors to leave the fireworks at home.
