Fortuna Holds 11th Annual Fortuna Firework Festival

Fortuna, Ca. (KIEM) — Tonight, people of all ages flocked to Newburg Park down in Fortuna to celebrate the 11th annual Fortuna Firework Festival held each year on the eve of 4th of July.

The festivities kicked off at 5:30 pm and attendance to the event was free. There was BBQ, music, activities for the kids, a pie eating contest, and of course, a fireworks show. According to one organizer, Tami Trent, the event has a little something for everyone.

The festival just wrapped up around 10:30pm. If you missed out tonight, make sure to check out the firework shows in Eureka and Benbow tomorrow.
