ARCATA (KIEM)- Arcata kicked off their Fourth of July Jubilee in the Arcata plaza. The Annual Bubbles Parade started the day off with five kinetic “floats” all handmade. This is the first year kinetic sculptures have been a part of the procession.
It is something that seems to have gained a lot of attention. The parade allows everyone to join in, all becoming one, through bubbles.
There were a handful of bands that played for the Plaza and vendors lined the plaza with food, crafts, a make-shift skate park, and a variety of activities for the kids.
The event ran all day and was a way to celebrate the freedom of America, bringing everyone together.
