Bridgeville Fuels Reduction Project complete

Bridgeville, Ca., (KIEM) The Bridgeville Fuels Reduction Project is complete.

The Cal Fire Humboldt- Del Norte Unit finished the project in an effort to reduce the effects of massive wildfires.

The project extends defensible space around community structures by removing fuels through chipping, lop, or scatter techniques.

According to the 2001 Federal Register, Bridgeville is considered a “community at risk” and identified for treatment in the Humboldt County Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
