Local organizations to hold vigil to end inhumane conditions in U.S. Detention Center

Fortuna, Ca., (KIEM) Next week a handful of local and national groups will host a vigil titled Lights For Liberty. A way to end what the groups consider, human concentration camps.

The vigil hosted by Centro Del Pueblo with the NAACP Eureka Branch, among others will come together to protest, what they say, are inhumane conditions faced by detained immigrants and refugees.

At 9 PM, participants worldwide will light candles in a silent vigil as a show of support for all those held in U.S. concentration camps

The protest will be on July 12th beginning at 7 PM at Rohner Park in Fortuna.
