Woman freed by Humboldt Bay Firefighters in two-car collision in Eureka

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) Humboldt Bay Firefighters had to free a woman involved in a  two-car collision in Eureka.

According to Humboldt Bay Fire, the crash happened at around 11 this morning at the intersection of 15th and I Street.

Fire officials say the driver of a red Nissan was extricated out of her vehicle and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital.

The driver of the gray Dodge sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

The crash closed I Street as emergency crews worked the crash scene.

The cause is under investigation.
