Local church to conduct first-ever community-wide Prayer Walk

Myrtletown, Ca., (KIEM) EUREKA The Pentecostal Church invites residents and local church representatives to join the first-ever community-wide Prayer Walk.

Organizers will divide the perimeter of Eureka, as well as school neighborhoods, into- what the group considers- small “walkable” segments for each family or church group to select where they would like to walk and cover with prayer.

As of Wednesday, 11 local churches have committed to the walk.

The faith center said they are not trying to force faith onto anyone but said they hope believers, too, will join in as an effort to come together in unity and in prayer.

“We have no agenda that is going to be pushed for that day,” said Lawrence Trump, Administrator of EUREKA The Pentecostal Church. “It’s really just to show that we as believers love our city…the more prayer the more power, and the more change affects for our cities.”

The Prayer Walk will be on Saturday, July 13 beginning at 9 AM leaving from 1060 Hoover Street in Myrtletown. Complimentary breakfast will be served and an RSVP is required at events@eureka.church.
