Local Radio Station KHSU becomes Target for Ransomware Attack

ARCATA (KIEM) – North Coast radio station KHSU is the target of a ransomware attack. Early last week, the radio station began experiencing problems.

HSU says, the incident disabled most of the station’s programming systems and storage servers.

The University has not received a specific payment demand and is unsure of who is responsible for the attack.

KHSU is federally licensed. The incident has already been reported to federal law enforcement and the FCC.
