Yak still on the loose in Bayside

BAYSIDE (KIEM)- The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office need your help in locating a Yak.

A Yak is wandering through the neighborhood of Bayside after escaping from deputies this morning.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shaggy cow on the 300 block of Upper Creek Road and located not a cow, but a loose Yak. The Yak then wandered away before a livestock deputy arrived on scene.

The yak was last seen near the intersection of Upper Creek and Jacoby Creek Roads. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office.
