Henderson Center Block Party Hopes to Raise Money for a Trolley

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) – Earlier this afternoon, community members headed out to the Henderson Center block party to have some fun and raise money for a trolley.

F Street was completely blocked off from Harris to Henderson. Many Henderson Center merchants set up tables and booths that lined the street.

Those that stopped by could enter a 50/50 raffle, check out some of the sidewalk sales, listen to some live music, eat some local food, and even get a chance to dunk one of Redwood News’ own in the dunk tank.

We spoke with one of the organizers, Chrissy Ross, who hopes that the event reminds people of all the great things that Henderson Center has to offer.

If you didn’t get a chance to make it out to the block party and still want to donate to the trolley fund, Henderson Center merchants will have donation bins after the event.
