Illegal cannabis cultivation served two warrants in Hyampom area

HYAMPOM (KIEM)- On July 11^th, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served two search warrants to investigate illegal cannabis cultivation in the Hyampom area.

Three parcels were investigated and deputies removed 2-thousand growing cannabis plants. They seized and destroyed over 85 pounds of processed cannabis and seized one firearm. The parcels were not licensed to cultivate cannabis commercially.

Fines from the violations total over a hundred thousand dollars.

No arrests were made during the service of warrants but numerous suspects have been identified and arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues.
