Humboldt County Board of Supervisor Mike Wilson Appointed to California Coastal Commission

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – Humboldt County Board of Supervisor Mike Wilson has been appointed to the California Coast Commission.     

After a month’s long process, the Governor’s Office selected Supervisor Wilson. Wilson was notified on Thursday last week.

But there were other several applicants from Del Norte, Mendocino, and Humboldt County.

The Coastal Commission has 12 seats, with six seats coming from local governments. While the other six are appointed by the Assembly and Senate.

Wilson says, being on the coastal commission is an honor and a civic duty.
