After Judge Denied Place in Eureka, Convicted Sexually Violent Predator Enter another Hearing

EUREKA (KIEM) – Another hearing is set for the placement of convicted sexually violent predator, Joshua Cooley.

Cooley was designated as a sexually violent predator back in 2010 and officials believe Cooley is “most likely to re-offend”. They based their decision off his criminal past and behavior.

Back in May, judge Feeney denied Cooley’s release out on eureka streets.

Feeney said, they’ve exhausted all possible placements for Cooley here in Humboldt and were looking to Tehama County.

But that community also is against Cooley’s possible placement.

The hearing begins tomorrow morning at 8:30 in the Humboldt County Courthouse.
