PG&E Working on Power Line Inspections in the North Coast

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM)- PG&E is conducting power line inspections by helicopter and will finish in Humboldt County next month.

PG&E will be using helicopters equipped with light detection and ranging technology. The inspections will help gather data to allow PG&E to identify hazardous trees that have potential to fall into power lines.

This is a part of their expanded and enhanced vegetation management work, as one of the many additional precautionary measures intended to further reduce wildfire risk.

PG&E’s automated service will notify residents about scheduled helicopter flights in their community.
