CASA Kicks Off Three Month Fundraising Season for 17th Annual Kid Walk

EUREKA (KIEM) – The Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASA is kicking off their fundraising season for their kid walk and they’re challenging Humboldt County to join in on the effort!

This is their 17th year doing this.

Between now and October, CASA Is encouraging the community to team up together and help raise money for the upcoming walk.

They’re encouraging teams to do fun activities like holding a bake sale or even having a garage sale and all that money the team raises will go towards CASA. Last year, the event raise over $70,000 dollars and they’re hoping to beat last year’s goal. CASA works with over 100 kids and have 60 advocates who meet with the kids.

The walk will take place in October.
