New Housing Development Under Construction in Eureka for Veterans and DHHS Clients

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — A new housing development is currently under construction on the corner of fourth and c streets in eureka. It is a Danco Communities project.

The site will consist of 50 units. According to DHHS, 25 of those will be available to veterans and the other 25 will be available for their clients. It will also include a large courtyard, multi-purpose room, resident lounges, and a 24-hour security guard.

We spoke with one DHHS official, who is excited for the project and believes it will have a great impact on the local community. According to DHHS, the housing development is expected to be completed this upcoming winter.
