Wildwood Days Festival Celebrates Day Two with Parade

Rio Dell, Ca. (KIEM) — Down in Rio Dell, Saturday is day two of the Wildwood Days Festival and to celebrate they held a parade down Wildwood Avenue. The event is hosted by the Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department.

The parade kicked off at noon and people lined up and down the street to get the best view. Rio Dell Fire, Scotia Fire, and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office led the parade. They were followed by floats and cars from local organizations and community members.

This year, the theme is all about celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment and woman’s suffrage movement. The League of Women’s Voters were this year’s grand marshal. The festival continues to grow each year with a great turn out from out of towners and locals.
