Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Threats Made by Juvenile

Del Norte County, Ca. (KIEM) — The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a potential threat made by a juvenile student attending a program at College of the Redwoods Crescent City campus.

Monday night, deputies conducted various interviews with the alleged suspect, school faculty, and witnesses. Searches were conducted of physical property and digital media, but no threats were sustained and no weapons located.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, there will be extra law enforcement presence at schools. The student in question is directed to not be on school grounds until further notice. It is still an active investigation.
