Golf Fire Continues to Burn in Lake County, Evacuation Orders Lifted

Lake County, Ca. (KIEM) — The Golf Fire continues to burn in Lake County northwest of Clear Lake, but as of this afternoon, all evacuation orders have been lifted. According to Cal Fire, the fire is burning 17 acres and is 75% contained. They say 40 structures were threatened, but none were damaged.

It was first reported at Soda Bay Road and Golf Drive around 1 pm Thursday afternoon. Units from Kelseyville and Lakeport Fire are battling the flames. Cal Fire is also assisting.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. We’ll continue to update you as we learn more.
