Arcata’s Friday Night Flicks is back

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) Calling movie lovers, Friday Night Flicks at the Arcata Ballpark is back.

On Friday, August 23, attendees will have the opportunity to view the classic film written by Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus, The Goonies.

The movie set to play on Friday, September 6 will be announced later this month.

Friday Night Flicks is a free, outdoor movie night that benefits the Arcata Ballpark Improvement Fund.

Gates will open at 7:30 PM for both movie showings, and the films will begin at sunset.

Friday Night flicks is put on by the Minor Theatre, Arcata Main Street and the city of Arcata. 

Moviegoers are welcome to bring blankets or lawn chairs to be used for seating on the ballpark grass. Food and drinks may be brought into the park for these events, but no alcoholic beverages, glass containers, smoking or dogs will be permitted.
