Humboldt Bay’s Water District to replace valves in Arcata, residents to experience water shut off

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) In the next upcoming weeks, Arcata residents may experience a water shut off or a decrease in water pressure.

The Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District will be replacing valves in its Arcata facility.

City officials said while work is taking place, Arcata’s water supply will be shut down and residents may experience a decrease in water pressure and a slight increase in chlorine residual in their water.

The city of Arcata encourages residents to conserve water while improvements take place.
