Yurok Tribal Police, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department announce cross deputization.

Humboldt County, Ca., (KIEM) The Yurok Tribal Police Department and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department announced their cross deputization.

Yurok Tribal Police declared the cross deputization of two of its officers with HCSO.

According to a legal website, the agreement allows law enforcement personnel from state and tribal entities to cross jurisdictions in criminal cases.
