MCKINLEYVILLE, Ca (KIEM)-McKinleyville football will have a new look this season. With a generous donation, the team was able to purchase new helmets for all the varsity players. It’s all about safety and the coaches and players are thankful.

The Panthers struggled during conference play a season ago. They went winless in the Little 4 going 0-6  and finished 2-8 overall.

Senior leadership will be key for Mack this season. Running the offense is second year quarterback Jack Patton. The Panthers also have experienced players in the backfield. The team kept busy attending camps during the summer.

McKinleyville will start the season with three of its first four games at home. They open August 23 against St. Vincent de Paul.
