Arcata Police Investigating a Reported Sexual Assault

Arcata, Ca. (KIEM) — The Arcata Police Department is investigating a reported sexual assault in Redwood Park. The victim contacted police earlier today and told investigators the alleged incident happened on Monday afternoon.

Police say the victim and suspect were walking in the park. The victim was then sexually assaulted by a man who is described as tall and thin. The location in the park where the sexual assault occurred is unknown.
