FERNDALE (KIEM)- In light of recent shootings, the Humboldt County Fair has ramped up security to keep fairgoers safe.

At events like the Fair, officials are heightening security to keep everyone safe.

Those in charge want fairgoers to have fun and enjoy all the Humboldt County Fair has to offer, but they will remain on high alert for anything that may happen.

Security personnel and local law enforcement have discussions and training in place for what to do if an event did take place, as well as measures to keep the public safe.
