Bigfoot Daze Celebration Saturday

Willow Creek, Ca., (KIEM) The tale of Bigfoot lives on. Saturday marks almost six decades of Willow Creek’s Bigfoot Daze Celebration.

If you are heading to Willow Creek for this year’s Big Foot Daze organizer said to be prepared.

Hundreds of Humboldt County residents are expected to fill the town’s main street which is off Highway 299.

Organizers said it’s always exciting to see locals enjoy the day full of activities such as the parade and the ice cream social.

Terry Castner of the Willow Creek China Flat Museum said what’s even more exciting is that people actually believe in Bigfoot as she does.

“I seen the footprints one time and followed them for an hour and they went up the hill that me and my husband we couldn’t make it up,” said Castner. “It was in the snow. And it had to be human because the snow was deep and the edges of the footprints were all icy and the bottom was icy which means it had to be Heat. It couldn’t be nobody in shoes and that convinced me.”

Big Foot Daze is Saturday. The parade starts at 10 AM at Ray’s Supermarket in Willow Creek.
