Board of Supervisors Approves Formation of Climate Advisory Committee

EUREKA (KIEM) – Humboldt County is taking action against climate change. The first steps is creating a Climate Advisory Committee.

In a unanimous vote, The Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the committee. The committee would be made up of members concerned with how climate change impacts where we live.

It would focus on issues such as, transportation, agriculture, green building, and forest management and health. The information would then go back to the Board, which would help guide efforts in reducing greenhouse gases and our carbon footprint.
