Wanted Fugitive in Custody Thanks to Humboldt County Drug Task Force

Bakersfield, Ca. (KIEM) — A wanted fugitive is now in custody after being tracked down by agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.

Rodrigo Rios was the primary suspect of a drug trafficking organization that was disrupted in 2018. Agents tracked Rios to a residence in Bakersfield, and within hours of contacting Kern County authorities Rios was located and taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

It’s believed that Rios was operating in Humboldt County for several years and is responsible for distributing multiple pounds of heroin in local communities. Over the next few days, Rios will be extradited back to Humboldt County for arraignment.
