Dogs and Owners Participate in Annual Coastal Canine Olympics

Crescent City, Ca. (KIEM) — Dogs and their owners came out to participate in the 12th annual Coastal Canine Olympics on Saturday.

The event kicked off at 11 am at the Crescent City dog park. It’s a fundraiser put on by the Humane Society of Del Norte County and featured a variety of fun events. There was a costume contest and also events to test a dog’s speed, agility, and appetite. Some events include an agility course, best trick, clean your plate, and the doggie dash.

All proceeds from today will go towards the humane society and their work helping dogs in need in the Del Norte County area.
