Crescent City names two interim police chiefs

CRESCENT CITY, Ca (KIEM) – Crescent City Police Chief Ivan Minsal is set to retire next Sunday. The City has yet to find his replacement, but they named two interim chiefs while the search continues.

After four and a half years as Chief, Minsal will enjoy retirement life with his wife.

Sergeant Ed Wilson will be the acting chief for September, and Sergeant Jennifer Owens will do the same in October. The City hopes that the position is filled by December or January. For now, they’re going split the workload on a month to month basis
