Fortuna could be getting a new police facility and pool

FORTUNA, Ca (KIEM) – A new police facility and pool in the Friendly City. It could happen if the Fortuna City Council decides to move forward with the project.

Tuesday night, council members will consider approval for a supplemental budget request to purchase a property at 2600 Newburg Road. The site would include a police facility and possible pool.

Also on the agenda, the first reading of an ordinance for a general plan land use map to designate from public facilities for commercial use. And lastly, they will consider approving a contract with GHD for a wastewater compliance project.

The council meets Tuesday night at 6 in City Hall.
