One Hospitalized After Single Vehicle Crash on Highway 36

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM) — One person is in the hospital with major injuries after a single vehicle crash on State Route 36.

According to CHP, the crash happened shortly after 2 am Friday morning near the Humboldt-Trinity County border. A Jeep Cherokee crashed into a tree. The occupant of the vehicle that sustained major injuries was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka.

Two additional people suffered moderate injuries. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.
