Loads of Love Services Back for Second Month, Moving Services to Arcata

ARCATA (KIEM) – Being able to wear clean clothes on our back is part of our daily lives.

But what if you had to choose between washing your clothes and putting food on the table? Loads of Love is a laundry initiative that helps homeless and struggling families.

The program provides quarters for people to wash and dry their clothes and bedding sheets. They even supply detergent for up to two laundry loads.

On Thursday, over 25 loads were washed.

Loads of Lover founder Vernon Price says, they hope to expand their services to other parts of Humboldt County, even going as far as Orick.

Loads of Love is every first and second Thursday of the month, from 12p.m. to 2p.m. at the Arcata Speed Wash.
