Fire Crews Battle Structure Fire in Eureka

EUREKA (KIEM)– Fire personnel responded to the 9-hundred block of West Washington in Eureka.

Fire crews found a vacant office building which they believe to be used for storage.

Flames extended along the front building to the awning, and surrounding the building is a fence that firefighters had to get through in order to extinguish the flames.

They were able to contain the blaze in less than 5 minutes.

Fire crews believe only the exterior was affected.

Police remained on scene, searching for the person who started the fire.
