The Trinidad City Council votes 4 – 1 on no cell tower

TRINIDAD, Ca (KIEM) – The Trinidad City Council votes 4 – 1 to uphold the Planning Commission’s decision not to have a 75-foot cell tower on Berry Road.

Representatives from AT&T were at Tuesday night’s meeting to state their case to the council about appealing the Planning Commission’s decision. But then Berry Road residents doubled down on how they don’t want the cell phone tower in their residential area.

When it came down to voting, Councilmember Dwight Miller voted no. He stated at the meeting about possible legal issues of not having appropriate cell coverage that could affect the Cit.

Many residents don’t see that as an issue.
