California Highway Patrol wants to secure children’s future

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca (KIEM) – The California Highway Patrol is reminding motorists to help secure their child’s future. Its all part of Child Passenger Safety Week.

The CHP says State Law requires all children under two years old, 40 pounds, and 40 inches to ride in a rear-facing car seat. Kids under the age of eight must ride in the back seat with an age-appropriate safety seat.

The CHP wants to make sure your child’s car seat is secure. At each of their officers, someone trained is there to assist motorists with questions and concerns.
