San Francisco Airport construction causes 10 flights canceled at Humboldt County Airport

MCKINLEYVILLE, Ca (KIEM)– A San Francisco airport runway project is causing havoc for North Coast travelers who fly in and out of the region.

It forced the Humboldt County Airport to cancel ten flights last week. SFO is reconstructing a runway that’s heavily used. Work started almost two weeks ago and includes resurfacing and re-painting the markings. They hope to be done by next Wednesday. Until then, Humboldt County travelers should anticipate delays and the cancellation of flights.

To stay up to date with flight information, the Humboldt County Airport recommends downloading the United App.
