McKinleyville Single-Car Collision Lands One in Hospital

MCKINLEYVILLE (KIEM)– Arcata Fire District and California Highway Patrol are investigating a traffic collision in McKinleyville that sent one individual to the hospital.

Early Monday around midnight, Arcata Fire responded to North Bank Road for a single-vehicle traffic collision.

Firefighters responded to the scene and found a vehicle on its side with a female trapped inside.

Seven firefighters were to extricate the individual. She was taken to a nearby hospital.

According to CHP, DUI is suspected as a contributing factor.
