Man Arrested After Police Find Stolen Firearm, Drugs During Traffic Stop

Arcata, Ca. (KIEM) — A man is arrested after Arcata Police find a stolen firearm and drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation on Giuntoli Lane near Boyd Road.

The driver, 34-year-old Triston Crossland of Eureka, was driving on a suspended license.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered Crossland had a .380 caliber firearm in his pants pocket. It was reported stolen out of Lodi, California. They also located heroin and drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle.

Crossland was arrested and booked for possession of a stolen firearm, possession of heroin, driving on a suspended license, and other charges.
