Humboldt County Drug Task Force Finds Drugs, Loaded Firearm During Traffic Stop

BLUE LAKE (KIEM)- Two men are arrested after the Humboldt County Drug Task Force finds drugs and a firearm in their vehicle.

The Drug Task Force along with CHP conducted a traffic stop in the 9000 block of Highway 299 in Blue Lake.

During a multi-week investigation, agents received info that the driver, 44-year-old, Robert Hodge Jr. is the main supplies of methamphetamine and heroin in the Hoopa Valley.

Both Hodge Jr. and his associate, 43-year-old Travis Ray White, were detained without incident.

Agents located roughly 1 pound of methamphetamine, 1 pound 5 ounces of heroin, and a loaded handgun with an attached silencer inside of the vehicle.

They also found 8-thousand dollars believed to be profits from illegal narcotics sales.

Hodge Jr. and white were arrested and booked for possession and transportation of controlled substances and weapons violations.
