Sequoia Park Zoo hosts International Red Panda Day

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM) – They’re cute, cuddly, and are a threatened species. We’re talking about the Red Panda. Saturday locals headed to the Sequoia Park Zoo for International Red Panda Day.

All the proceeds from Saturday’s games will go to the Red Panda network. An organization that’s working to save Red Pandas in the wild.

The Zoo wants to bring awareness to both kids and adults. They had different game-related activities about Red Pandas. Sequoia Park itself has two of them. Spectators got to witness them getting fed by staff, as they crawled around on tree limbs. Over 2,000 people showed up to see Red Pandas thrive.
