Minor injuries in Eureka crash

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-One person is injured after a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon. It happened just before one at the intersection of 4th and R Street.

According to witnesses, a Dodge van was traveling westbound on 4th Street and ran a red light. The van struck a Subaru SUV going south on R Street causing the SUV to land on its side.

The male driver of the SUV was uninjured. The driver of the van sustained minor injuries.

One lane of 4th street was closed for about 45 minutes.

Eureka police, Humboldt Bay Fire and City Ambulance all responded to the scene.
